DFC 09000 Endmill Bodies
The Sumitomo DFC is a series of high-efficiency, general-purpose milling cutters manufactured by Sumitomo Electric Hardmetal. The tool's unique design, including double-sided, six-edged inserts, makes it suitable for both face and shoulder milling.
Unique Insert Design:
The DFC's double-sided, six-cornered inserts are engineered to provide both sharpness and strength. The design separates the cutting edges from the insert contact areas, which improves accuracy and stability.
Enhanced Chip Control:
The series is equipped with a GS chipbreaker, an optimized geometry that promotes controlled chip evacuation. This avoids chip clamping, improves the machined surface finish, and enables stable milling.
Versatile Lineup:
Cutter bodies are available in a wide range of diameters (from 25 mm to 160 mm) and configurations, including standard, fine-pitch, and extra-fine pitch styles. This allows them to cover many applications, from high-efficiency roughing to fine finishing.
